Philo Sophie takes its name from the word philosophia, love of wisdom.

Founded by two women who studied art history and philosophy, our brand marries aesthetic beauty with intellectual curiosity. Look at the world around us. What gives an object its character? How can it be reinterpreted as something beautiful? 

Each piece is inspired by objects of daily life, reimagined as bags that are elegant and expressive. We believe beauty is not rare, but found in the forms we live with every day, once we learn how to see.
